Girth Gears

We design and manufacture girth gears up to Ø16m and face width of 1.5m in-house where we use the latest technology and finite element software to optimise designs based on our experience and in accordance with the AGMA, ISO and DIN standards.

Our foundry casts gears in steel, spheroidal graphite iron (SG Iron) as well as our patented FerryNod® nodular iron material with guaranteed uniform hardness up to a maximum of 360 Brinell. Our gear cutting machines can deliver AGMA 10 / ISO 8 quality for maximum power transmission.

In addition to new designs and in conjunction with our Services Department, we can reverse engineer and optimise existing parts with guaranteed interchangeability.
