Ferry Capitain foundry was established in Joinville, France during 1831 and is wholly owned by Groupe CIF, a private, family owned industrial group.

Our expertise lies in open gear set design and manufacturing as well as metallurgical processes like foundry operations, special materials design, heat treatment and the machining of large parts.

This first-class, medium sized European foundry has integrated engineering, design, final machining and gear cutting capabilities focussed on high power transmission machines and innovative casting solutions.

Our in-house foundries can cast parts up to 100 tons and we can make use of our AOD and heat treatment facilities to deliver the most challenging materials and qualities required. The foundries are supported by a full on-site metallurgical laboratory, full NDT capabilities as well as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and AGMA certification.

Our machining centres are of the highest quality to ensure accuracy with machining and gear cutting capacity up to Ø16m.

We deliver high quality final machined cast girth gears, pinions, mill heads, trunnions, kiln tyres and rollers to the major OEM’s and end-users for mills, kilns, dryers and other rotating machines.
