Aciers Hachette & Driout was established in 1869 and produces 10 00 tons castings per annum in the 3 foundries and 1 machining shop spanning 20 000 m².
Our mould boxes allow a maximum of 4mx4m castings in one of our 3 production lines where we can cast parts with a maximum weight of 12 tons. Our AOD converters allows us to produce up to 8 tons of high-quality alloys per pour. The on-site laboratory guarantees quality and grades through constant testing and monitoring of the chemical and mechanical properties.
Our production units are equipped with optimized sand-blasting and shot-blasting cabins as well as welding booths. We can carry-out sand-blasting of parts up to 20 tons and shot-blasting up to 10 tons.
Our furnaces are customized for the optimised heat-treatment of austenitic or austeno-ferritic duplex stainless steels as well as carbon or low alloyed steels. We guarantee the temperature homogeneity of our furnaces as well as a monitored transfer time to the quenching tanks. Our automation controls also take care of the cooling times.
The AHD quality controls are world class and we operate our own 3MeV Linear accelerator for X-Ray inspection of large and thick sectioned parts. We also do Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Ultrasonic Test (UT) and Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI). Dimensional inspections are conducted with 3D measuring devices and scanners in addition to the conventional measuring equipment. Pressure tests can also be done up to 100bar pressure.
AHD is certified by various institutions including: TUV ISO 9001, Russian RMRS, Lloyds Register, Germanischer, Norsok, Deutsche Bahn, Aramco, Exxon Mobil, GE Energy, BP and Caterpillar.
